face finally tells you the truth. The camera does not lie over time. You can manipulate a political advertisement. You can manipulate in a program. You can do all kinds of cutting. But a camera just trained on a person in a long debate of the Nixon versus Kennedy kind or following candidates through a period, through the primaries, through all the things that can come at you, and you’re exhausted and you’re going from state to state and never have enough sleep and so on, I think that television is the best indicator yet that we have, of in fact the character of a person.
